A pedestrian was struck by a van as he tried to cross County Road 39 in Southampton on Friday, November 18. The road remained open while police conducted their investigation, according to Captain James Kiernan, and the victim’s injuries were not serious. At approximately 3:25 p.m., Southampton Town Police received several 911 calls reporting the accident, which took place on County Road 39 at North Sea Road. Southampton Man Found in Possession of Drugs, Gun, New Jersey Police Say

A Southampton man was arrested on an array of drug charges following a search of his hotel room in Secaucus, New Jersey. According to a release from the Secaucus Police Department, on November 14 at 5:25 p.m., the police responded to the Harmony Suites Hotel located at 455 Plaza Drive on a welfare check of a patron. They said Sean McDermott, 33, had a pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine and he was arrested. Flanders Man Charged in Parking Lot Armed Robbery

A Flanders man was arrested on Friday, November 11, following an armed robbery in Riverhead. Riverhead Town Police say Brandon Wollney, 24, got into a car parked at the Target department store on County Road 58 at approximately 7 p.m., brandished a gun and stole money and property from an acquaintance. Jason Langhorn, 40, of Riverhead was sentenced to 27 years in prison and three years of supervised release in federal court in Central Islip on November 14. He pleaded guilty to firearms-related murder in the shooting of Thomas Lacolla in Riverside on November 17, 2015. A motorcyclist was killed instantly when he was thrown off his 1984 Harley Davidson on Sunrise Highway just east of County Road 111 in Eastport on the afternoon of Saturday, November 12. Donald Ellers, 64 of Patchogue, was in the left lane traveling east on Sunrise Highway just after 3:30 p.m. when his motorcycle ran off the road and onto the center median, where it struck a guide wire and he was ejected.
