Strong Supporter

As a recently retired member of the Southampton Village Police Department, past president of the Police Benevolent Association and a lifelong resident of Southampton, I’d like to express my support for Zach Epley and his candidacy for Southampton Village trustee.

I’ve known Zach for well over 10 years and can say without a doubt that he is extremely dedicated to his family, as well as his community. In addition to his role as director of support services at Seafield Center, he’s a husband and father of four, a volunteer with the Southampton Fire Department, has served on the Village Planning Board, and he works with the local youth as Southampton High School’s varsity baseball coach and a member of the Southampton Youth Services Board of Directors.

Zach truly understands the importance of public service and giving back to the community. Zach loves Southampton Village and will passionately fight to preserve its historic charm and character while also striving to address its future needs.

Zach is a strong supporter of our first responders and appreciates the outstanding public safety that our local police, fire and emergency medical service provide. The morale of the village volunteers and workforce is directly tied to the support the employees get from administration and our elected officials. The recent unexplained termination by our current mayor of one of Village Hall’s most dedicated employees shows a complete lack of respect and good judgment and has brought morale within all village departments to an all-time low.

Through many conversations with Zach, I know that he understands the value of village personnel and that providing a positive, stable workplace is the key to a productive staff.

Zach’s love for the village, his maturity, sound judgment and decision-making ability will make him an outstanding addition to the Village Board, and he will work tirelessly for the residents of Southampton Village.
