The Perfect Time

Feckless Lee Zeldin, who has spent the last four-plus years unabashedly honing his credentials as arguably the most fawning and shameless toady to Donald Trump, has decided that now may the perfect time for him to dust off his stellar resume and run for governor of New York.

“With his nursing home cover-up & abuse coming more to light, it’s clear #CuomosGottaGo,” tweeted the guy with the sudden demand for truth and transparency regarding the current governor — the same one who relentlessly defended Trump’s big lie about voter fraud in the 2020 election. The same guy who, after the riot was quelled and order restored in the Capitol on the evening of January 6, made a speech lasting nearly five riveting minutes, during which not a word was spoken about the day’s violence, but instead focused on mail-in voting, crooked election observers and — of course! — the wrongful impeachment of Trump and the perennial Trump-Russia “collusion conspiracies and investigations.” All issues, Zeldin assured his rapt audience, that his constituents were “outraged” over.

The only outrage is that this woefully unfit man not only holds his current job but aspires to a much bigger one in Albany and actually believes he’s qualified for it.
