Another impressive, well-written article showing the many sides to the issue [“‘The Hamptons: No Vacancy’: Scott Bluedorn Illustrates Severity Of East End Affordable Housing Crisis,” 27east.com, March 17].

One idea that I would quickly suggest as a win-win solution for several problems: The East Hampton Town supervisor points out the low-income housing projects scheduled to be built. Land, of course, is a dilemma.

Close the airport. Use the land for low-income housing. Discourage the inflow of the uber-wealthy who have driven housing costs through the roof. They are the only ones who use and benefit from the air service. Last I knew, at least $500 per seat on the helicopters.

End the discord over helicopter noise. Take a step toward cleaning the environment.
