We are writing to express our deep concern and opposition to the proposed fire station at 319 Upper Seven Ponds.

My family has owned a property at Upper Seven Ponds since the early 1980s. We have seen the built-up traffic from our house to the entrance to Route 27 firsthand many mornings and afternoons. It is inconceivable for us to see how emergency vehicles could navigate this street when such a buildup of traffic occurs. Furthermore, even without the buildup, these streets are narrow and there is no space for cars to pull over to the curb.

In addition to this, we are concerned about the pollutants that this project will bring to the area and to the disturbance to such a quiet community. We are all in favor of fire protection but believe a much more suitable location should, and could, be found along Route 27 that would provide much easier access to all locations.
