Louise Hallock Anderson of Oak Island, North Carolina, died at home on December 8, 2019. She was 88. Mrs. Anderson was born March 16, 1931, in Southampton, daughter of the late Dr. David H. Hallock and Doris Phillips Hallock. On June 28, 1951, a warm summer night, Louise Hallock, a junior at Connecticut College for Women, and a girlfriend walked into the dance hall at the Westhampton Airforce Base and across the room stood Ken Anderson, a young recruit from rural Connecticut. Kathleen Mary DeBrita of Westhampton died December 9, 2019. She was 74. Born on February 7, 1945, to Edward and Arvilla Arthur, she was raised in New Hyde Park with her sister, Nancy, and brother Christopher. She graduated from St Mary’s High School in Manhasset and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature from LeMoyne College and Fordham University, respectively. Years later she earned a master’s in special education from Dowling College. She and her husband, Phillip DeBrita, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The Sag Harbor Village Board on Tuesday night voted, 4-0, to adopt a bond resolution in the amount of $550,000 to finance the installation of electrical service on docks and piers on Long Wharf as a part of the ongoing renovation of that facility. On Wednesday, Mayor Kathleen Mulcahy said that while electric was included in original discussions about Long Wharf’s renovations, it was left out of the final $4.32 million bid by marine contractor Chesterfield Associates of Westhampton Beach that the Village Board accepted in June.
