Travis P. Bradley
Travis P. Bradley of Tavares, Florida, and Southampton, died on November 12. He was 86.
Mr. Bradley, known to many as “Brad,” was born in Sharon, Connecticut, on October 3, 1926, to William and Marjorie (Fairservis) Bradley. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and went on to work for the State of New York in the Department of Environmental Conservation. In his retirement, he went to work at the Peconic Marina in Southampton.
Survivors said Mr. Bradley loved his boat, which was docked at the marina, and much of his spare time was spent working on it to ensure that his wife and others could enjoy taking the boat out on Peconic Bay.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Lehecka); his children and stepchildren, William and wife Jean of Corinth, John of Texas, Jo-Ann and husband Mike Drumm of Southold, Donna and husband Robert Pierro of Riverhead, Ernest Kempermann of Riverhead, Debra McCallum of Connecticut, and Donalette Appel of Rock Hill; a brother, Roger Bradley of Valatia; six sisters, Joan Riley of Millerton, Janet Silvernail of Las Vegas, Elizabeth Layton of Houston, Marsha Phillips of North Carolina, Sandra Thurston of Connecticut, and Diane Walters of Millerton; and 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Marshal Bradley, and stepdaughter Edith Brown.
The family received friends on November 16 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral was held on Saturday, November 17, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Southampton. A private interment will be held at a later date.
