On behalf of the Mariners Patriot Club, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many community partners whose generosity made this year’s “250 Turkeys for 250 Veterans” initiative a tremendous success. Because of the remarkable support we received, the Mariners Patriot Club and community volunteers were able to deliver 250 turkeys to veterans throughout the Town of Southampton, to Shinnecock Nation veterans and the Westhampton Beach Air Force Base, 106th Rescue Wing.
We are deeply grateful to LICARES, Regan Kiembock, Schmidt’s Country Market, the Southampton Village PBA, the Southampton Town PBA, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Undersheriff Keith L. Taylor, Suffolk County Correctional Officers, James Fry Mecox Dairy, Lisa Frankenbach McWilliams, Susan Steinke, Southampton Elks 1574, the Southampton High School Key Club, The Green Thumb, Johanna Halsey, Joyce Cole, Richard Nespola, Councilman Rick Martel, Councilman Michael Iasilli, Elizabeth Tureski, Anthony Bernard, Kathy Cervone, Dr. Brian Zahn, Susan Soto, David Feldman, Yanabah Cuffee, the Gredysa family, Jesse Warren, the Southampton Teachers Association, and the Southampton High School and Middle School custodial staff.
This collaborative effort reflects the true spirit of our community — one that honors service, uplifts our veterans and comes together in meaningful ways. We thank everyone who contributed time, resources and energy to ensure that our veterans felt appreciated and supported during this season of gratitude.
