Vincent M. Preiss Of East Hampton Dies August 7

Vincent M. Preiss of East Hampton died at Southampton Hospital on August 7. He was 53.

Born on October 16, 1959, in St. Croix, the U.S. Virgin Islands, he attended the Country Day School in St. Croix and later the University of Wisconsin. He owned his own business, MVP Pool Service.

Mr. Preiss is survived by his wife, MegAnn (Smith) Preiss; three daughters, Briana of Thailand, Shaina of Australia, and Marina of East Hampton; two brothers, Brian Preiss of Texas and Andy Preiss of Florida; and his mother, Patricia. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Preiss.

Visitation is at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton on Wednesday, August 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Preiss Girls College Fund/Trust, c/o Chase Bank, 66 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
