Work Together

Much has been said of New York City residents coming out to shelter in the Hamptons and hoarding food and supplies.

We all must realize that without them we would not have half the businesses or restaurants that employ so many locals. I realize there has always been a love/hate relationship between locals and “summer” residents. Having grown up in Southampton, I know this all too well.

What I ask is that those more fortunate look out for those in the community who may be suffering from lack of employment and money. They can donate to food banks, drop off extra face masks and anti-bacterial to firehouses, police stations or hospitals.

We should all work together and not make villains of families who come here to shelter. Invite them to help community. Most will, gladly!
