Motorists can expect delays on roadways from Sag Harbor to Montauk on Saturday, as the Solider Ride of the Hamptons will be taking place from 8:30 a.m. until about noon.

In Sag Harbor, a 5K walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Marine Park, travel north on Route 114, and then end near Long Beach. Another 5K in Amagansett will follow at 9 a.m., starting and finishing at the Amagansett Farm on Montauk Highway.

30-mile and 60-mile bike rides will also take place,

About 1,200 walkers and cyclists are expected.

The Soldier Ride of the
Hamptons is a fundraising event dedicated to Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter, who was killed in Iraq in 2008. Mr. Haerter was a resident of Sag Harbor.
