The East Hampton Library hosted its 13th annual Authors Night event on Saturday on Maidstone Lane in East Hampton Village. More than 2,000 people came out to meet and mingle with 100 authors, buy their books and have them personally inscribed at the cocktail party, with all proceeds benefitting the East Hampton Library. The evening’s Founding Honorary Chair, Alec Baldwin, was joined by his wife Hilaria Baldwin, both of whom were signing their new books. Other participating authors include: Alan Alda, Ann Brashares, Robert A. Caro, Dick Cavett, Tom Clavin, Blanche Wiesen Cook, Elliott Erwitt, Laurie Gelman, Seter Marino, Kati Marton, Steve Miller, Malcolm Nance, Jessica Seinfeld, Jean Kennedy Smith, Stephen Kennedy Smith, Iris Smyles, Elizabeth Vargas, Marshall Watson, and Chris Whipple.
