The One Oceanview Road Design Competition, in which contenders created unique and creative designs for a residential property in Hampton Bays, has concluded with a winner.

On Saturday, June 24, Architect Christopher Jeffery of Hampton Bays reigned for his design. The award was $1,800 given by Century 21 Agawam Town and Village Fine Homes & Estates and a three-day weekend in Hampton Bays for two, along with his design being used to develop two residences.

Mr. Jeffery’s design will recreate the 2.2-acre property right off Montauk Highway that overlooks Shinnecock Bay. The design is for two single-family residences that will be built on adjacent lots on the site. Construction is set to begin in the fall.

His design for each home featured spacious interiors and views of the bay and ocean as well as a private courtyard, pool, tennis court and gardens enclosed by tall hedges.

More than 400 votes were tabulated from the competition website, oneoceanviewcompetition.com, as well as through votes cast by the public at Hampton Bays Library. The competition was hosted by Southampton architectural engineering firm Chiffert Engineering P.C.

A wine and cheese reception will be held at Century 21’s Agawam office at 55 Hill Street in Southampton Village on Friday, July 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information or to RSVP to the reception, contact Maria@aecengineeringdesign.com or Denise@townvillagerealty.com.
