Diane (Conlin) Salvatore died at her home in Hampton Bays on August 13, 2018. She was 77.
Born January 1, 1941, in Elmhurst, Queens, she was the daughter of Robert Conlin and Muriel (Bletsch) Conlin. She married Maximilian Salvatore on September 25, 1960, and together they raised four children.
Despite the difficulties of Parkinson’s Disease, Ms. Salvatore remained active with her family and friends throughout her life. In recent weeks she attended graduation parties, shopping trips with friends and grandchildren, participated in a 5K Run/Walk (or “roll”) for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and was regularly at the Surf Club of Quogue with her family. Her last day was spent at the Surf Club of Quogue, with the familiar stop at Cor-J Seafood Market on the way home.
She is survived by her spouse, Maximilian Salvatore of Hampton Bays; her sons, Frank T. Salvatore, M.D. (Ana) of New Jersey, Steven J. Salvatore, D.O. (Patrizia) of Quogue, and Thomas J. Salvatore of Hampton Bays; a daughter, Dawn Marie McIntire (Dickson) of Connecticut; and 12 grandchildren, John Paul and Sebastian; Alessia and Ariana; Sam, Diana, Liza and Ryan; Madeleine, Amelia, Massimo and Eleanor.
Ms. Salvatore donated her remains to NYU Medical School.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 25, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Quiogue.
