Helen Benenaula and Maryrose O'Connell, a pair of seniors from Hampton Bays High School, signed their letters of intent to continue to play athletics at their future colleges.

Benenaula started playing soccer in seventh grade and was a midfielder for head coach Keegan Bishop this past fall on the varsity girls soccer team. She'll continue to play soccer at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, which just joined the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this spring and recently added women's basketball, soccer and volleyball programs.

O'Connell leaves Hampton Bays having competed in 12 different seasons in cross country, winter indoor track and spring outdoor track, all under varsity head coach Kevin O'Toole. She'll be competing in the same sports at SUNY Cortland.
