Michael J. Masiello Of East Moriches Dies February 9

Michael Masiello, 63, of East Moriches, died on February 9, 2018, at Stony Brook University Hospital.

He was a mechanic and a talented jazz drummer.

Mr. Massiello is survived by his sister, Maria Masiello; his brother, Anthony Masiello; and his daughters, Chrystiana Clay, Marissa Babb-Masiello and Carmela Masiello.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wesche’s Funeral home in Center Moriches.

Memorial donations may be made to the Third Street Music School Settlement, thirdstreetmusicschool.org.

Wednesday Morning Crash Closes CR105 Near Flanders Road

A car accident on Wednesday morning has closed part of County Road 105 in the Flanders area while police investigate the accident. The crash took place about 7:45 a.m., and involved a single car that crashed into a tree after traveling southbound on County Road 105 near the intersection with Flanders Road.
