The Watchcase project in Sag Harbor is a winner in the 13th annual Smart Growth Awards bestowed by Vision Long Island.
Specifically, the project’s compact building design was applauded by Vision Long Island. The 1881 former Bulova watchcase factory, which closed in downtown Sag Harbor in 1981, has been transformed into penthouses and lofts selling for millions, joining newly built townhouses and bungalows to create 64 units overall.
The development is the work of Cape Advisors developers, along with design architect Beye Blinder Belle Architects, project architect Baldassano Architecture, interior designer Steven Gambrel and builder Racanelli Construction.
The Smart Growth winners will be toasted at an awards event in Woodbury on June 13.
