Our Lady Of The Hamptons

Five members of the class of 2012 at OLH have been awarded scholarships to attend Catholic high schools as a result of the Catholic High Schools Entrance Examination last fall. Madison Piccirillo, daughter of Judge Barbara Wilson of Southampton, has been offered scholarships to attend McGann-Mercy High School, St. John the Baptist High School and St. Mary’s College Prep School. Her classmates John Mavellia and Liam Spielmann have been offered scholarships to Chaminade High School, while Nathan and Samantha Sandler have both been offered scholarships to McGann-Mercy.

Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 29 with the Family Pancake Breakfast and Open House. Prospective school families are welcome to come to see the school and meet the students from 8 to 1:30 a.m. The dads will be cooking up pancakes and sausages for the Family Breakfast at the same time. A donation of $7 per adult and $5 per child will be asked for the hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee!

Students of Stephanie Mocilan, mostly from kindergarten to grade three, performed in the Suzuki Talent Education assembly. Three cellists and 54 violinists shared their talents with the audience. Suzuki students are also represented this year at several music festivals outside of school.
