The 18th annual holiday lighting of the windmill at the Stony Brook Southampton Campus was held on Friday, December 10, even though it almost didn’t happen at all.
The Town of Southampton hosted the event after it was cancelled by Stony Brook, and about 50 people attended, including. U.S. Representative Tim Bishop, State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr., State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle, Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and University Provost Eric Kaler.
