Protesters Converge On Stephen Schwarzman's Water Mill Home

Protesters at the Water Mill home of Steve Schwarzman on Friday afternoon.
Aug 5, 2017 8:58 AM

About 35 protesters from various political organizations—the Center for Popular Democracy, Make the Road New York, New York Communities for Change, and Strong for All Economy Coalition—converged on the Water Mill Home of Stephen Schwarzman on Friday afternoon.

Mr. Schwarzman is the chairman and CEO of The Blackstone Group and an adviser to President Donald Trump.

The group was there in opposition to President Trump’s tax reform plans, and a plan to privatize infrastructure projects.

The group set up a makeshift toll booth at the gate in front of Mr. Schwarzman’s home to “emphasize how Trump’s tax and infrastructure plans will take a huge toll on communities of regular working people, and give special treatment—an EZ Pass—to the wealthiest Americans, like Schwarzman.”

Well these people don't have to take Trumps tax cuts when they get passed. They also don't need to participate in any of the Countries prosperity under his administration but I guess that will be hard for them to avoid. Something tells me they don have jobs and are on government assistance anyway. Lastly they should have been on the lines for jobs at the Amazon job fair but they probably aren't interested in working anyway

Defying expectations that job creation would slump this year, America has added more than 200,000 jobs in four out of Trump’s six months in office. That brought the total number of jobs created since the start of February to 1.07 million. On average, the economy created 179,000 jobs in each of the first six months of Trump’s presidency

JuneZ, the profits generated by a business or corporation belong to that business or corporation, they earned it. Paying the MINIMUM TAX REQUIRED BY LAW IS LAGAL !! Sorry you do not like the way the tax laws are written, or that Obamacare caused business to cut employee hours to avoid the onerous cost of providing high priced health insurance to them. A question: how much should a business pay in taxes and what should the funds be used for?
By bigfresh (3018), north sea on Aug 7, 17 6:30 AM
Retail and fast food employers have been cutting "part time" hours well before "ObamaCare" to avoid paying or offering benefits. Heck, to skirt having to provide full benefits to part time employees many corporations offered completely unaffordable "part timer" insurance packages. Well before "ObamaCare".

In fact, it's his most stunning "accomplishment". In fact, isn't Jay Sekulow Trump's lawyer? No conflict there.

Perhaps Sekulow should investigate himself, so we can get to the bottom of how his "charity work" has funneled millions of tax free dollars into his family's/personal coffers...
