"tonight, Thursday, August 12" Really? I think we have a boo boo!
By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 11, 10 5:53 PM
Article is to be published tomorrow in Press.

Chill ICE!
By PBR (4956), Southampton on Aug 11, 10 6:46 PM
That makes sense, but if it were to be pre-published here they should have just left out the "tonight" and it would have been more accurate.

I'm melting in this heat!
By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 11, 10 10:14 PM
East End Tea Party?! HAH! Not one of their three wingnuts have a shot in _____ of beating Bishop. I thank god for the teaparty for without them the dems would lose a number of seats, including Harry Reid, but thanks to lunatics like Sharon Angle the dems will hold their majority!
By peoplefirst (787), Southampton on Aug 11, 10 8:02 PM
I think you may use "hell" without repercussions. Think about what you are saying here, the Tea Party because if they weren't so crazy people would likely vote out many of the dems they are unhappy with. What does this say of the caliber of the candidates such as Harry Reid?
By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 11, 10 10:20 PM
It says whatever is the quality of Henry Ried, he is much preferable to his dim teapartier opponent or any other. --mo

Look at their history, they are either the same person or husband and wife, there is another name "they" use also.
By flyonthewall (30), Southampton on Aug 12, 10 9:50 AM
Ooh, what a conspiracy, two posters disagree with the wingnuts and they have to be married or spies for the radical left! HAH! I don't know fcmcmann, but I certainly like her posts!
By peoplefirst (787), Southampton on Aug 12, 10 11:26 AM
Yeah, they are awful! They want to cut your taxes - I personally would hate them for that. Not only that but I heard they are for smaller government. Can you believe that! They actually think we can survive without the government being up your toucas at every turn. Lunatics is right! At the end of the day, the more of my money I can give to the government, the better off I will be - because they will use it to take care of me better than I can use it myself. Freakin' neocons.

Taxes under Obama for the middle class are the lowest they've been for decades. The teaparty is nothing more than a group of manic, bigoted, fear-mongers who have absolutely no clue as to what really happens in the world. Teabag heroes like Sharon Angle bemoan "government overreach" and the claim that the government should stop all abortions even in the case of incestuous rape. Give up your social security and medicare. Keep your kids out of public schools and stay off of public highways - and ...more

yeah, they're incorrigable followers of Bush W, no matter their denial, who cut taxes while starting two warss just to make certain the richeest 2% should be exempt from it costs. O what a work of art are the teabaggers, ready to lower taxes while we're having record deficits to try to jumpstart our economic downturn that is the final legacy of Bush & the corporate puppets we call Republicans. We all know the Teaparty is the secular fundamentalists of the GOP.

Are you going to take care ...more

I comletely agree with progressnow. teaparty jerks..how dare those old people express their fear and displeasure. I used to think disent was patriotic..but now I think there is no place for it. In fact, I want Obama to declare all disagreement with the government illegal. That will teach all those teabag, maniac bigoted people wherever they came from. If they think they should pay less in taxes and still use the roads...I mean, progressnow is so right! most middle class people i know are very ...more
By package4 (39), hampton bays on Aug 12, 10 6:00 AM
Look up the meaning of "bigoted" it fits you just as well as them. I don't support them, but you are no less crazy or dangerous in your desire to have Obummer destroy more of our constitution. If you don't like dissent move to North Korea and you will not have to hear it.
By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 12, 10 6:49 AM
LMAO. . . these flag waving partriots who suddendly champion dissent, except when dissent goes against military adventurism or denies human rights to incarcerated prisoners. How wonderful we have these champions of our loved Constitution who hate our 14th Admendment. What two-faced hypocrites.
By mo (89), Sag Harbor on Aug 12, 10 11:46 PM
Look who's talking about hypocrites, you wish to infringe upon the 2nd Amendment
which is part of the Bill of Rights. When it comes to the 14th Amendment (which you can't even spell) you oppose any change, even if it is for keeping the sovereignty intact. The boarders will be virtually impossible to secure as long as birthright exist for criminals with their anchor babies. The 14th Amendment was not intended for such use and it will be addressed.
By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 14, 10 1:52 PM
It gets worse. I just looked at that Alschuler's website and he doesn't think taxpayers should foot the bill for those trials in nyc of the 9-11 bombers. Is he nuts or something!? Besides the roads and public schools and military...I definitely want my taxes going to pay for that trial...what the heck else do I work for anyway!? more neocon nonsense. And just like progressnow, the minute someone mentions shrinking the size of government - pffff, I too give them the incestuous rape argument ...more

I know you wingnuts don't allow facts to get in your way, but taxes are lower under Obama then they have been for decades. Keep screaming, but you cannot drown out facts.

Unlike yours, progressnow's point is entirely relevant - examples of your average teabagger hypocrisy:

"Keep gov't out of our lives!" - "Stop Muslims from building mosques and take away their property rights!"

"Keep gov't out of our lives!" - "Don't allow women the right to choose!"

I understand what you say about their hypocritical stances on various things. A women's right to choose should be left alone, it's in her body = her choice. Prayer has a place in private schools, never in public ones.
On the other hand I don't agree with much of the Democratic ideology either. The healthcare bill is a disaster, the idea of gun control is flawed. Obama has continued the Patriot Act, Gitmo, rendition, warrantless wire tapping and other things he promised would "change". Not to ...more

Can you post a link showing that the tea party people are anti-choice?
Can you show a link between the absolute insensitivity of building a Mosque near Ground Zero and the tea party objecting to it?
Can you show me where tea party leaders are for prayer in schools?
And then to top it off please show where tea party people call for increase in military spending?
By Terry (380), Southampton on Aug 12, 10 2:10 PM
Wow, Terry, you are certainly proof that the teaparty followers don't actually listen to what is going on within your own party. Have you heard of Rand Paul, Sharon Angle, Michelle Bachman, and Sarah Palin? All anti-choice. Here is a link from Rand himself http://www.randpaul2010.com/issues/a-g/abortion-2/

you can't have it both ways. You state you are concerned about the teabaggers hypocrisy and then go to make feeble derision about prayer in public schools. "tea party follower" where did that come from?

Just because I am from the right side of the aisle does not indicate membership is any extremist organization. Any more so than if I claimed you to be a member of ACORN or moveon.org.

I have no use for Ms. Palin, but I will state I belive it is very insensitive to build a "cultural center" near Ground Zero.

I thank you for your links, but I'll pass on your sarcasm.
By Terry (380), Southampton on Aug 13, 10 9:07 AM
Forget it fill, teabaggers like Captn Un-American ALWAYS accuse those with opposite views of cherry-picking. He did it even when I quoted from Rand Paul's own website! Ignorance is bliss for these folks.

By your response in your previous post it would seem you had trouble with it. It was copied and pasted from my previous comment. By ICE (1214), Southhampton on Aug 14, 10 10:47 PM
Captain America, defending the entire teaparty against racism is one thing, but to defend Limbaugh is simply beyond the pale. We all know that bloated, drug-addict has made countless racist and bigoted statements so to question the poster's citation is simply laughable.
By dagdavid (646), southampton on Aug 15, 10 3:38 PM
The" Barak the Magic Negro" parody is a series of quotes from the LA Times describing the Almighty Barak and his ascension to power set to music, not comments by Rush. Try again.
