Press News Group To Host Congressional Debate

Oct 18, 2016 12:40 PM

The Press News Group will host a conversation-style debate between U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin and his challenger, Democratic Party nominee Anna Throne-Holst, on Saturday, October 22, at 2 p.m. at the Southampton Arts Center.

The two candidates are vying for the 1st Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and will be on the ballot Tuesday, November 8. Moderator Joseph P. Shaw, executive editor of the Press News Group, will preside over the one-hour discussion, which will be held without time limits on answers or other typical debate restrictions.

The public is invited, though seating is limited. The event also will be recorded for rebroadcast by SEA-TV.

Hopefully Lee is able to keep the debate focused on facts and policies. Something ATH would dread. As long as she can keep the dialogue from becoming cerebral and intelligent, Nurse Rachet has a chance.

Who could stand debating ATH?! How about Lee just bang his head into the wall a few times,ATH can bat her eyelashes and the press can declare her the winner. Just saves a lot of time and effort
