Virginia Mary Kearns of East Quogue died at home February 17 with her family by her side. She was 91.
Ms. Kearns was born August 6, 1922, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Joseph and Ottillie Snyder. She graduated from All Saints Commercial High School. A longtime resident of Woodside, Queens, she later moved to Westhampton Beach to be near her children. She had worked as a trade show coordinator for the New York Visitors and Convention Bureau.
She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Kearns; a brother, Joseph Snyder; and two sisters, Madeline Livigni and Ottillie Schweiger.
She is survived by her children, Ginnie Kearns of East Quogue, Bill Kearns and wife Susan, also of East Quogue, and Donald Kearns and wife Elizabeth of Southampton; and seven grandchildren, Will, Michael, Jacob, Kara, Christa, Grace and Juliette.
A funeral Mass was said on February 21 at the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
