Regina B. Dox of Southampton died on November 5 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson. She was 97.
Ms. Dox was born on March 18, 1917, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She worked as a secretary in the science department at Southampton College in the 1960s and 1970s and was later a secretary for Nicolich Sanitation. She was an avid reader and a member of the Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton.
She is survived by two sons, John Dox III of Southampton and Kirk Dox of East Quogue; a sister, Florence Gatesy of Indiana; three grandchildren, Lauren Korte, Matthew Dox and Rachel Buhler; and six great-grandchildren, Johanna Poremba, John Poremba, Caden Korte, Eagan Korte, Parker Dox and Peyton Dox. She was predeceased by her husband, coach John Dox; a daughter, Leslie Dox; and a son, Paul Dox.
