Marian Skretch, formerly of Southampton, died on December 29 of pneumonia in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she had resided since 1999. She was 88.
Ms. Skretch was born on April 15, 1926, to Victoria Zawieski and Mitchell Ziemacki of Jamesport. She grew up in Jamesport along with her four sisters, Stella, Helen, Victoria, and Jeanette, and her two brothers, Felix and John. She graduated from Riverhead High School in 1943.
Ms. Skretch was predeceased by her husband, Theodore L. Skretch of Bridgehampton. She is survived by her children, Patricia Goubeaud of Chattanooga, Ted Skretch and wife Eileen of Southampton, Janet Lyons of Connecticut, and Connie Borders and husband Richard of Chattanooga; and by 12 grandchildren, Danielle Guyear, Joshua Goubeaud, Luke Goubeaud, Ben Goubeaud, Adam Skretch, Keith Skretch, Carisa Skretch, Clinton Sloan and wife Danielle, Christian Sloan and wife Galina, Katrina Mosler, Rebecca DeSmet and Jonathan Mosler. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Grace Goubeaud, Jack Sloan, James Sloan, Gabrial Mosler, Dale Park and Amber Mosler.
Ms. Skretch donated her body to Science Care. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
