Milton Freeman died on January 25 at Southampton Hospital. He was 92.
Mr. Freeman was educated at Stuyvesant High School and graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He served three years in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant and worked for 25 years at Lowenstein House as fabric designer of the company’s bed linens and bath towels. He retired in the mid-1970s to run an antique shop called Collectables in Water Mill, along with his lifelong partner, Robert Ullman. The shop was renamed the 1780 Antiques House, since the main part of the house dates back to that time.
Described by survivors as a class act and a well-dressed, generous gentleman, Mr. Freeman is survived by his partner of 63 years, Robert Ullman; a sister, Eileen Freeman; and nephews, Howard and Rafi, who live in Israel.
