Debra Wouters-Armentano, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on May 11 in Land O’Lakes, Florida, from diabetic ketoacidosis. She was 60.
Born in Southampton, she lived in Hampton Bays until 1990, when she moved to Flanders. She moved to Land O’ Lakes in 2008. Survivors said she loved to go to the Hard Rock and play slots, and enjoyed going to the beach and sitting in the sun, and playing backgammon and spoiling her grandkids.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jean “Diddy” Wouters, and her father, Charles Wouters. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Thomas; daughter, Danielle Wouters-Malewicz; sons, Jonathan and Christopher Vaca; grandsons, Robert, Kody and Michael; granddaughters, Olivia and Mya; sisters, Laurie Conforti, Sharon Abbondondelo; and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Wouters.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the activity center at Red Creek Park in Hampton Bays.
