Southampton Town Police are warning drivers of possible delays as roads are closed in Hampton Bays on Wednesday, July 30, for the annual Hampton Bays Fire Department parade. The parade will take place at 7 p.m., roads along the parade route will be closed from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Ponquogue Avenue will be closed between Montauk Highway and Lynncliff Road, and Montauk Highway will be closed from Bittersweet South Extension to Flanders Road (SR24). A counselor working his second year at Camp Quinipet on Shelter Island was arrested the night of July 21 at JFK Airport in Queens, charged with rape in the 1st degree. SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE — A New Jersey man was charged with assault following a road rage incident on June 30 following a motor vehicle accident on Hill Street. Police arrived at the scene and determined that Kevin E. Guevara-Martinez, 26, of New Jersey was fighting with a 43-year-old Hampton Bays man. Both men were arrested.
