Patrick Tilley of Flanders, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on May 21 at Good Shepherd Hospice Center, after a battle with cancer. He was 43.
Mr. Tilley was a member of the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps for 15 years, serving as a driver and emergency medical technician. He also worked for Hunter Ambulance and delivered pizza for Uncle Joe’s in Hampton Bays for many years.
Mr. Tilley is survived by his mother, Rose Marie (Brennan) Coyle of North Carolina; four brothers, Kevin Tilley and wife Robin of Flanders, Norman J. Tilley and wife Dawn of North Carolina, Richard Tilley of Southampton, and Arthur E. Tilley and wife April of North Carolina; a sister, Anne Knoebel of Southampton; a daughter, Nicole Chaves; and two grandchildren, Brenden and Brianna Chaves, all of Riverhead. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Tilley; and infant daughter, Faith Tilley.
A memorial service was held at the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps on May 24, led by his friend, the Reverend John G. Fleishman. A private cremation took place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
