Carol Jane Crowley died at home in Bridgehampton on November 1. She was 93.
Born on July 2, 1922, in Southampton to Alonzo Raymond Young and the former Wynola Conklin, she attended Hayground School and went on to graduate from Southampton High School. She earned a degree from Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey, returning to Southampton to marry William A. Crowley in 1943. They raised three children, Betty Bahret of South Carolina, Lynn Cotter of East Hampton and Terry Crowley of Sagaponack.
She had a long career as a waitress in some of the finest East End restaurants and she was an excellent homemaker, survivors said.
In addition to her children, she is survived by a niece, Peggy Disunno of East Hampton; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Raymond Dudley, predeceased her.
A funeral service took place on November 3 at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. Burial at Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton followed.
