Roberta M. Tommasini of Liverpool, New York, formerly of Riverhead and Westhampton Beach, died on June 21, 2019.
The daughter of Joseph and Elsie Mallo, she was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Center Moriches High School in 1952. She attended secretarial school and went to work as a legal secretary for Thomas Stark, Esq.
After marrying her first husband, she was a devoted stay-at- home mother for 12 years, before going back to work as a secretary for the Westhampton Beach School district, followed by working as a private secretary for Supreme Court Judge Lester Gerard. While working she attended Southampton College four nights a week, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in English literature.
Upon her retirement, she and her second husband, Angelo Tommasini, left Long Island, moving to Baldwinsville, New York, where they enjoyed all the area offered, their friends and time spent with their grandchildren.
Ms. Tommasini is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Warren) Bumpus; a son, Robert H. Culver; two stepchildren; and her grandchildren, Tim Bumpus, Dan (Elizabeth Schiller) Bumpus, and Sarah Culver.
The funeral was private.
