Harbor Grill in East Hampton served its final meal on Sunday, June 18, after almost seven years at its location on Three Mile Harbor-Hog Creek Road.

The family-owned restaurant prided itself on being an affordable option for families looking to enjoy quality American fare on the East End, according to the restaurateurs, who attributed the closing of the grill to constantly rising food costs.

“We opened Harbor Grill to provide the local community with an option to go out to dinner with the entire family, not pay an arm and a leg, and still get a quality meal,” said executive chef and co-owner Damien O’Donnell. “The increased costs of food and beverages have made it extremely difficult to run a profitable year-round restaurant.”

Harbor Grill fans can visit its sister restaurant, Harbor Bistro, which is also located on
Three Mile Harbor-Hog Creek Road. The waterfront eatery offers American cuisine with Japanese, Italian and Mediterranean elements. For reservations and more information, call 631-324-7300 or visit harborbistro.net.
