A street in one of the Hamptons' many tony zip codes made Zillow's list of the 15 most expensive in the country. The real estate and rental marketplace company ranked Coopers Neck Lane in Southampton the eighth most expensive street, with a median home value of $11.872 million, determined by the company's analysis of streets with at least 10 homes.
The top contenders on the list are in Florida and California, with Texas, Connecticut, Colorado, Arizona, and of course, New York, trailing. The No. 1 most expensive street in America is Indian Creek Island Road in Florida, with a median home value of $21.48 million.
Meanwhile, East Hampton wins the prize for most expensive home in the Hamptons—if not in all of New York, according to Zillow. Hitting the market last November for $140 million, the listing known as Briar Patch is an 11.2-acre pondfront and lakefront estate that is home to two residences. The main house, renovated in 1990 by Peter Marino, includes six bedrooms, a sunken library and a third-story gym. The second residence, also designed by Mr. Marino, has four bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.
