AIA Peconic has announced the winners of the 2015 Daniel J. Rowen Design Awards Program held at the Southampton Arts Center on Saturday, November 7.
The jurors were Cathleen McGuigan, Editor-in-Chief at Architectural Record magazine; Heidi Blau, FAIA LEED AP, a partner at FXFOWLE; and Maitland Jones, AIA LEED AP, a partner at Deborah Berke Partners.
They reviewed and awarded projects submitted by eight East End firms, which explored unbuilt architecture, planning, urban design and research. Submissions were either real or conceptual and had to reflect a solution related to the build environment.
Honor awards went to Stott Architecture, P.C., Maziar Behrooz Architecture and Bates Masi Architects. Merit awards went to Berg Design Architecture, DiSunno Architecture PC, Bates Masi and Will Sharp Architects. Finally, Juror’s awards went to Martin Architects, P.C., AIA, Maziar Behrooz and Blaze Makoid Architecture.
