“The Ryan Show,” a weekly comedy podcast based on the East End, will host a disaster relief telethon on Saturday, October 21, in Montauk to benefit hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.

The event will begin at 9 p.m. at the Memory Motel hosted by Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Mr. Cheeks and the podcast’s eponymous producer, Ryan Verneuille of Sag Harbor. Live music is planned and special guests will include Jay Mula, Scrooge Owens, Marla Roy, Marvin Moore and King Flo.

Mr. Verneuille said several of the anticipated guests, who agreed to perform for free, are old school hip hop legends, and he booked local artists as well.

Between the music, there will be comedy performed for a video podcast that will plug the UNICEF donation website.

Donations of food, clothing and batteries will be accepted, and any cash donations will be given to UNICEF.

The Memory Motel is located at 632 Montauk Highway. The cover charge is $20. For more information, call 631-668-2702 or visit theryanshow.net.
