Edith Suess Moreo Of Quogue Dies November 27

Edith Moreo of Quogue died on November 27, 2018. She was 83.

Born on August 11, 1935, to Emma Richter and Karl Suess in Seegertawalde, Germany, she studied nursing and, after earning her nursing certificate, worked in a hospital maternity ward. She met her first husband, Edward Pinonzek, when he was stationed in Germany while in the army. They were married in 1960 and had two children, Edward Jr. and Michael. The family moved to the United States in 1963.

In 1974 she completed training as a licensced practical nurse and worked as an in home health aide. After the death of her first husband in 1971, she was later married to Samuel Moreo of Quogue, who died in 1997.

She is survived by her sister, Reini Skinner of Virginia; her brother, Gerhart Seuss of Germany; her son, Michael and wife Rhonda; and two granddaughters, Ella and Melina of Westhampton.

A funeral service was held at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on December 1.
