J. Patrick Quinlan died on February 17, surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. He was 70.
Born on March 17, 1943, in Yonkers and raised in Liberty, Mr. Quinlan was predeceased by his twin brother, Michael, who had lived in Southampton. He was employed for 37 years by the Address-Multigraph Corp. in New York City as a senior technical representative. He was a member of the American Legion in Brewster and an active member of the BPOE 201 Elks Lodge, serving as an officer, state vice president and district deputy of the Mid-Hudson District. He was the lodge treasurer for 38 years. During his service in the U.S. Air Force, he flew radar surveillance planes as an airborne radar technician for the Air Defense Command during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Mr. Quinlan is survived by his wife, Alma (Calise); two daughters, Maureen Pudelka of Connecticut and Colleen Quinlan of New Jersey; two sisters, Roseanna McKee of Green Island and Carol Wilkerson of New Orleans; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by as sister-in-law, Eileen Quinlan of Southampton.
A funeral Mass was said on February 22 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of the Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster.
