Lillian McGarvey
Lillian McGarvey (née Languth) of Westhampton Beach died at her home on Thursday, April 19. She was 91.
Long retired from Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where she worked as a ward clerk, Mrs. McGarvey volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary and the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference.
Mrs. McGarvey was predeceased by her husband, Michael R. McGarvey Jr., and a son, James. She is survived by two sons, Michael R. McGarvey III and his wife Louise, and John McGarvey and his wife Eileen; her daughter, Elizabeth McArthur and her husband Jeffrey; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family received friends at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on Sunday and Monday, April 22 and 23. A prayer service was held Monday evening. A funeral Mass was held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Quiogue on Tuesday and interment followed at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton.
