Well, I have one question for you, Park Avenue Perry: Where were you? When Congressman Zeldin was spending four years on active duty, where were you? When Congressman Zeldin was deployed to Iraq, where were you? During Congressman Zeldin’s last 12 years in the Army Reserves, where were you?
It is absolutely disgusting that Park Avenue Perry, someone who spent his whole life focused on making money, is questioning our congressman’s commitment to serving his fellow men and women in uniform. Just last week, our congressman was testifying before the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, urging the nationwide expansion of his PFC Dwyer Program, which has saved the lives of countless New York veterans with PTSD and TBI, the latest in his long record of fighting for our nation’s service members.
But where were you, Park Avenue Perry? Attempting to spread your filthy lies using my hometown newspaper in an attempt to buy our congressional seat.
Unfortunately for you, Park Avenue Perry, Long Islanders remember where you were.

As a Sag Harbor native in my late 30s, I’ve seen the East End fully transform into the Hamptons — and it’s not a pretty picture. A village resident, I’m constantly reminded of how I don’t make enough money to...
Regarding your editorial, “Dangerous Liberty” [June 26]: We are of like minds on some issues — government overreach, the founding fathers’ understanding of the dangers of democratic process and of the dichotomy created by a two-party system. It seems important...
The Ladies Village Improvement Society of East Hampton extends many thanks to the generosity of our wonderful East End community. Our 130-year-old organization could not have had yet another successful LVIS Fair on June 14 were it not for the...
It’s good to see that my children are learning about conflict resolution at school. Good to know it says “fair” and “unfair.” Examples such as saying, “I’m sorry,” “talk about it” and “make a compromise” under “fair.” “Unfair” has the...
