Our Lady of the Hamptons School Prep 6 student Jenna DiDomenico, center, of Hampton Bays was the winner of the school's Senior Spelling Bee. Jenna, who will now represent her school at the Long Island Spelling Bee, bested Prep 8 student Anna Lee Geoghan and Prep 6 student Trey Gundy in the final rounds.

Express News Group Sports Editor Drew Budd was presented with the Suffolk County Football Coaches Association's Media Award at the Suffolk County Football Awards Dinner in Hauppauge on Monday, December 2. Westhampton Beach varsity football head coach Bryan Schaumloffel nominated him for the award, which is presented to someone within the media who shows "outstanding contribution towards advancing the image of high school football in Suffolk County." In his nearly 12 years at The Press, Drew moved up from sports reporter and photographer to editor, covering sports for all Press newspapers. In his remarks at the dinner, coach Schaumloffel said Drew has covered the sport in a positive light, including a three-part series this season on the impact of football on the East End. He added that Drew is a "pro-football guy and that any community on Long Island would be lucky to have him." Drew lives in Speonk with his wife, Stephanie, and their 7-month-old daughter, Elle.
