There’s nothing like the music of the season to brighten the mood and spread good cheer. To that end, on Sunday, December 15, at 2 p.m. the Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library will offer “A Hamptons Holiday Cabaret” with vocalist Valerie diLorenzo and Amanda Borsack Jones as her accompanist. Now in its sixth year, the program features diLorenzo singing seasonal favorites from the screen and stage as well as stories and selections from the Great American Songbook.
There is no charge for the program, but reservations are strongly suggested. Register at myrml.org or call 631-283-0774 extension 523. The library is at 91 Coopers Farm Road in Southampton.
But if you can’t make the library program, you’ll have another chance to join in seasonal song when diLorenzo presents a holiday singalong on Friday, December 20, at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. Join diLorenzo from 7 to 9 p.m. and gather 'round the piano to sing the favorite carols of the season, drink hot cider and listen to a reading of “'Twas the Night Before Christmas.” No reservations are necessary for this one, just show up at Bay Street and be of good cheer! The community event is free and open to all ages. Bay Street Theater is on Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. For more information visit baystreet.org.
