Police said that a passing motorist reported a white van traveling east on Bay Avenue that did not stay in its lane of traffic. BRIDGEHAMPTON — Brian Conforti, 55, of Bridgehampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police on April 16 at 11:20 a.m. on Montauk Highway near Corwith Avenue and Hull Lane after a caller told police that Conforti had a knife, had stabbed the caller’s vehicle with it and was threatening to kill him. On arrival officers made contact with Conforti, who matched the caller’s description and had a knife visible in his pocket. Michael Martin, 58, of Montclair, New Jersey, was arrested by Southampton Town Police on April 22 at 1:02 a.m. on Old Riverhead Road in Northampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.
