There is a presidential primary on April 28. The primaries for the other November elections will be on June 23. You can vote in the primaries that match the political party of your voter registration, including any party change you made on or before February 14.
The new change of voting law applies to “a registered voter already enrolled in a different party, or to delete his enrollment in any party, or an application by a registered voter not enrolled in any party to enroll in a particular party.”
The New York State Board of Elections states online: “An application to change one’s party enrollment for any primary election in 2020 must be received by the board of elections no later than February 14, 2020.”
