Stay Out Of It

I can safely assume that Terry Carnes is a shill for the airport interests, at our omnipresent, dangerous, disruptive nuisance [“Don’t Chase Them Away,” Letters, February 13]. Numerically and geographically challenged is apparent.

On my street and a few short side streets, there are 85 homes. So it is obvious that you are clueless about the area! Since Ridge is where your domicile sits — maybe Leisure Village? — what business is it of yours, considering how far away you live from here?

We get zero benefits from what supposedly comes in. Zero goes to the general fund but our taxes.

Your “boarded-up restaurants and for sale sign” hysteria, etc., sounds like my grandmother’s parrot, which repeats everything that is said. On my street alone and a few short side streets, there are 85 residences. So that shows how blind you are to the facts. Over 700 people from North Sea signed the noise petition. How do you explain that?

Well, if, in fact, some of the Range Rover, Beemer and Benz Nazis flee, then the roads will be safer to drive on and not resemble the Indy 500. If they turned Tallgrass Golf Club into a landing strip, you will have to live with what we endure.

So I and my neighbors have a right to live in peace and safety. So I suggest you mind your own business and enjoy your endless traffic jams on Nichols Road.
