Participating students were Liam Squires-band/trumpet; Julian Misut-orchestra/viola; Ava Lima, Chiara Campaiola, Emma Suhr and Dylan Wisniewski-chorus; Joseph Lucas and Thomas Armandi-world drumming.

STEM BOWL WINNERS pose with Math teacher Christopher Scapellati and science teacher Amanda Burriesci   Patrick Kamm of Wading River was deemed the winner of the 2020 STEM Bowl, a competition of challenges in Mathematics, Science and Technology. Runners-up were Prep 7’s Christian Duggal of Southampton and Prep 8’s Christopher Guillen of East Quogue.

AP U.S. History students at Westhampton Beach High School recently marked Black History Month by researching the Negro Baseball League and creating projects to display what they learned. Along with team names and player information, the projects explored the discrimination that the league members had faced.

Stony Brook To Be Satellite Location for Heart of the Hamptons Food Pantry Distribution

Stony Brook Southampton will serve as a satellite pick-up location for Heart of the Hamptons food pantry every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon in the university’s parking near the Fine Arts building. Wildlife Rescue Center To Hold Plant Sale Fundraiser

The nonprofit Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, located in Munn’s Pond County Park in Hampton Bays, will hold its annual Mother’s Day plant sale fundraiser from Friday through Saturday, May 10 to 12. The hours of the sale will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday. Choral Society Announces Auditions

The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions in May for all singing parts — soprano, alto, tenor, bass — for singers interested in joining the group prior to the Choral Society’s next concert on Saturday, June 29, at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church.
