The 6th annual Songwriters Share Concert Series at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse in Bridgehampton continues on Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. with Black and Sparrow, the talented acoustic duo of Klyph Black and John Sparrow who have been performing for years to receptive crowds.

In the past, the pair have opened shows for Los Lobos, The Subdudes, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Mick Taylor, Taj Mahal, Hot Tuna and many other national acts. They have been joined on stage with Charles Neville (Neville Brothers), Roll Hall of Famer “Donna Jean Godchaux” (Grateful Dead) as well as Grammy winner Terrance Simien.

Their mix of rock blues country has built them a strong reputation for great songs and musicianship. Black & Sparrow’s CDs include “Friend And Partner” and “Second Time Around.” General admission is $20 ($15 for seniors and students) and the proceeds of the concert will be shared with the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Black & Sparrow’s chosen charity. A complimentary wine and cheese reception follows the concert.

The Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse is at 977 Sag Harbor/Bridgehampton Turnpike.
