The Westhampton Beach Historical Society recently presented its Preservation Award to the Kobel family for their preservation of the Topping-Raynor House in Westhampton as a Town of Southampton Landmark. The Town’s historic conservation and preservation easement restricts what changes can be made to the facade of the 131-year old Victorian house. It is only the Society’s second such award for the preservation of local historic buildings, the first being to the John and Elaine Kanas Family Foundation for its preservation of the Speonk Mill. Stony Brook To Be Satellite Location for Heart of the Hamptons Food Pantry Distribution

Stony Brook Southampton will serve as a satellite pick-up location for Heart of the Hamptons food pantry every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon in the university’s parking near the Fine Arts building. ReWild Long Island is offering internships and community service opportunities in East Hampton for its second summer. The 2024 Summer Program To Fight Hunger and Climate Change includes volunteer work in organic vegetable harvesting, regenerative food production, sustainable landscaping, pollinator garden design and composting. Wildlife Rescue Center To Hold Plant Sale Fundraiser

The nonprofit Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, located in Munn’s Pond County Park in Hampton Bays, will hold its annual Mother’s Day plant sale fundraiser from Friday through Saturday, May 10 to 12. The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions in May for all singing parts — soprano, alto, tenor, bass — for singers interested in joining the group prior to the Choral Society’s next concert on Saturday, June 29, at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church.
