The Westhampton Beach Historical Society recently presented its Preservation Award to the Kobel family for their preservation of the Topping-Raynor House in Westhampton as a Town of Southampton Landmark. The Town’s historic conservation and preservation easement restricts what changes can be made to the facade of the 131-year old Victorian house. It is only the Society’s second such award for the preservation of local historic buildings, the first being to the John and Elaine Kanas Family Foundation for its preservation of the Speonk Mill.
