The third offering in Bay Street Theater’s “Story Time,” a new series of eight children’s books read aloud on Zoom by the authors themselves, will feature Dan Sadlowski reading “Finding Brooklyn — And The Next Great Superhero,” at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 10.

Sadlowski is dedicated to creating children’s books that uplift and inspire. “Finding Brooklyn—And The Next Great Superhero,” which is about an original female superhero, is his first book and beloved by fans all around the world. This resilient story encourages readers to feel empowered, be different and believe they have superpowers within. The author’s newest book, “The Universe Is Rooting for You,” is an awe-inspiring tale that reminds us to appreciate the natural world, connect with nature and give back.

Offered every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., other authors in the “Story Time” series will include Hyewon Yum reading “Grandpa Across The Ocean” on April 17; Susan Verde reading “I Am Yoga” on April 24; Linsey Davis reading “Stay This Way Forever” on May 1; Scott Rothman reading “Attack of the Underwear Dragon” on May 8; and finally, Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, reading “Simeon’s Gift” on May 15.

Parents are encouraged to purchase the books in advance so their child can read along with the authors. The series is designed for kids ages 3 to 8 and following each reading, authors will be available for a question-and-answer session with participants. Tickets for the “Story Time” series are $15 for each event. Visit baystreet.org or call the box office at 631-725-9500 to purchase.
