Long Island Cares, Inc. hosted its first East End Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, April 30, at the Hunger Assistance and Humanitarian Center of the Hamptons in Hampton Bays. Through the help of funding provided by Feeding New York State, Long Island Cares offered its member agencies, like Hamptons Community Outreach, unlimited boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to provide to families, children, seniors and veterans residing on the East End. Nearly 7,000 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons with the support of  Father Alex Karloutsos and his team of volunteer parishioners.

Clay Art Guild Selling Handmade Goods for Charity

The Clay Art Guild of the Hamptons will hold its annual charity yard sale on Sunday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 72 High Street in Sag Harbor. The Bridgehampton Museum has set its second annual Community Stars event for Saturday, June 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Nathaniel Rogers House, 2539 Montauk Highway, in Bridgehampton. This year, the museum will recognize Dai Dayton and Charlie Marder, both Bridgehampton residents, and who have made preserving and improving the environment a focus of their lives. Local bands comprising students from Town of Southampton high schools will compete on Friday, June 7, in the 21st annual Battle of the Bands at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays.
