Important Job

I am writing this letter to once again ask all registered voters in Southampton Town, regardless of political affiliation, for your support, and your vote, in my race for Southampton Town justice.

The choice by the voters this year of the justices who serve as Southampton Town justice matters, because town justice is one of the most important elected positions in Southampton Town.

I wrote in my prior letter to the editor about my education, experience and background as an attorney in private practice for 28 years, former Riverhead Town attorney between 1998 and 1999, and member since 2002 and chairperson since 2017 of the Southampton Town Zoning Board of Appeals.

I want to tell you why I am running for Southampton Town justice. I believe that I have the legal skills and the sense of fairness to contribute a great deal to Southampton Town if I have the honor of being elected. I understand that what occurs at Southampton Town Justice Court impacts many lives.

Being elected as Southampton Town justice has been a goal of mine for more than a decade. I believe in government service, and I have been serving on the Southampton Town Zoning Board of Appeals for the last 18 years. I want to continue my many years of service to Southampton Town in a new role as Southampton Town justice.

If I am elected as Southampton Town justice, I will never forget the responsibility that you as the voters of Southampton Town have placed in me. I intend to listen carefully to all who appear before me, to know the facts, follow the law and give 100 percent to the job every day I serve. I will always serve as a fair and impartial Southampton Town justice.

I believe that my education, career, and life experiences have all prepared me for this incredibly important job. I will be ready to serve on day one.

I am asking one last time for your support, and your vote. Please vote for me in early voting, which begins on October 23, absentee voting, or by voting for me on Election Day, which is on Tuesday, November 2. I will be on the ballot on the Democratic line (Row A) and the Clean Water Party line.
